i wrote my first character on c.ai for wanderer! you can chat with him HERE as you travel to fontaine! <3

he is entirely based upon his canon personality and some of my fics! my wanderer ai is currently unlisted bc i’ll probably tweak his code as needed. i’d love your feedback on him!! it’s hard to strike the right balance with his character.

the ai will be available only for a few days before it’s private again. once he’s ready, i will post him publicly! :)

Puzzlematsu Another One Overanalysis (Pt.2)

Im back with the rest of the brothers! If you want the breakdown of the three eldest you can read that here.

ESP Kitty is always with Ichimatsu and I love him for that. I also love how ESP Kitty just hangs there like a sock full of peanut butter, look at him.

As for the location, I’m not sure why Ichimatsu is on the balcony. I can’t think of any distinct call backs that have Ichimatsu on the balcony- except maybe Campaign, but Ichimatsu slept on the roof, not the balcony.

My educated guess is that Ichimatsu can people watch and be invested in other people while comfortably staying in his home.

We see Ichimatsu watch people from afar and wait around like he’s waiting to be invited, but will jump away like an alley cat the minute they get close to him

We also see this in the Angel & Devil set, where Ichimatsu watches from a distance while other people have fun. So it makes sense that a time of self reflection would pop up when he’s just people watching.

Off rip, I love how the cracks in the shadow’s mask look like cat whiskers. They stay giving Ichimatsu every cat theme ever and I think its adorable. Everything in this final image is cat related and it just proves that Ichimatsu really is just a simple creature.

On a real, I love how ESP Kitty was ready to throw hands with the shadow self until he realized they were cool. The inner self is actively happier and has the most in tact mask.

I think his inner self is someone Ichimatsu is aware of and has accepted, but often refuses to show. Ichimatsu has admitted before that he wants a ton of friends, and to lie about doing fun and adventurous stuff for the attention- and he didn't sound so ashamed of it from season 2 onwards.

I like how the background is split in terms of color. The Inner self has more warm tones and an open field, where as the Ichimatsu we know has cooler tones with the background bending around him like its trying to protect him- which is very Ichimatsu.

(and maybe I’m rustling my straight jacket with this one, but the upper right corner suspiciously looks like Karamatsu’s shattered glasses. Which could mean any number of things, but I think it’s just suspiciously shaped crystal breaks-What would I know)

They keep referencing Homra but they wont give her back to us.

Jyushimatsu being by the same beach he met Homura in would be prime for some self reflection. It also hints that he thinks about her more often than not. So she was definitely more than just another person to him. Not much I can say about the first two panels.

It’s pretty self explanatory, and I think Jyushimatsu’s inner self just walking next to him is such a Jyushimatsu thing to do.

This final image is full of so much playful and weird imagery and it is so very in character. Its basically a collage of references, so speed round!

It has his favorite sport, baseball. Which of course his inner self would like.

Jyushimatsu’s is also the only set that has his ego inside of it. The bubble he sits in that is so far away from earth- which is also why I think the earth is in there at all. It’s related to his weirdness and his out of this world energy, which I feel is an important part of his character.

As for why Saturn is also there, Saturn as a planet represents responsibility, structure, the passage of time, limitations, etc. So the reason as to why its the only broken planet by something Jyushimatsu loves, is probably because he wants to destroy those expectations.

There is also the daisies. Representing innocence, freedom, youth, cheerfulness, and happiness. All of which feel like they would belong to someone like Jyushimatsu.

The crescent moon to me just feels like a nice aesthetic choice, a nod to the sleeping moon in children’s books. While crescent moons are representative of new beginnings and change, there’s nothing else inside the image that I feel would really tie into that meaning.

His background is also the most warped one. While it still has the rough edges, its smooth and wavy on its sides. Which remind me a lot of Jyushimatsu’s tentacle arms.

Jyushimatsu and his inner self sitting back to back feels like a vocaloid cover, but I feel it also shows that they do live in co existence. Jyshimatsu doesn’t fully understand his inner self judging by the expression on his face- but he lives with it. Probably even indulges in it the most.

Todomatsu is very about the times…kind of. I feel like a lot of Todomatsu’s wants come in the form of what will elevate him in social standing. It affects a lot of aspects of his character. Him getting a part time job was to be close to women and posting on social media to gain attention, are a few examples- but the biggest one comes in the form of how he dresses.

I bet your ass he’s never even been to New York, he just struts the tote around because its trendy. He drinks a white girl Starbucks, and shops at the most trendy stores.

Much like Karamatsu, Todomatsu’s shadow comes at a time of literal reflection. The shadow self reaches through the glass like a horror movie. One that reached directly for Todomatsu, instead of offering a hand or even just not touching him at all.

All the inner selves have some sort of contact, but Todomatsu’s just looks like pure curiosity. The kind you see in paintings when two other worldly concepts come together to understand one another. Todomatsu actively listens to his inner self, and doesn’t try doesn’t try to force it away.

There’s not a lot I can pick apart from the mask, just that it could be the way his inner self is. Happy despite all the social pressure he puts on himself.

The background is interesting to me, mostly because I cant really figure out what it means or what it’s referring to.

I think the phone being shattered definably means something. It is most likely where Todomatsu gets most of his attention and validation from, as well as how he connects with most people. It being shattered means he only has himself to look to, and look for that validation.

Everything else? It feels like an inner fun land. Like a party or a street parade. It could be a celebration of the self, or the want to have fun in a more innocent time. There is also a lot of pink and more of a feminine lean with the pink bows, but that’s more standard with Todomatsu since he is the Matsu most featured in a feminine lens.

This has been super fun for me, and maybe if I missed something or someone has a different interpretation of the set I’d love to hear it.

hiiii what’s your favorite recipe(s) you’ve made?? i’m always looking for stuff

boy do i have some!

first is my absolute favorite dessert pumpkin cream pie! this recipe makes two but can be halved or one can be frozen as long as you don’t put the whipped cream on the top! also i put more powdered sugar and whip cream than the recipe says

these are so so good does not make a 100 tho i think i usually get 35-40?

these is a pretty good brownie recipe if you like them gooey! honestly i would probably put the whole egg and sometimes an instant coffee pack!

baklava!!! soooo good and pretty easy to make! it makes a lot but it can be cut in half! i use pecans but whatever works for you! (i think traditionally it’s pistachios but don’t quote me on that) 

honestly one of my favorites growing up can be halved and the pecans are not necessary 

full disclaimer never actually made these but they’re fantastic! 

i don’t have a card for this one because i usually do it from memory (aka Measure with my heart) but here’s my take on a texans take of a german recipe

pecan hedgehogs

half a box of almond paste (about 4oz.)

half a cup of sugar

half a cup of almond flour 

an egg yolk

an amount of extract (almond or vanilla)

after that’s all combined shape them into kind of horizontal teardrop shapes brush with the egg white then press almond slivers for the quills

or the boring but faster way roll into balls brush on the egg white and lightly press on almond slivers 

they only puff up a little bit so they don’t need much room bake them at 325° on parchment paper until lightly golden brown (i think 15ish minutes) let cool on the paper or they won’t come up makes like 30 or 40 i think? could be 18 honestly i haven’t make them in a while

green drink™ my favorite holiday beverage growing up! you would think between me, my siblings and my cousins (all 9 of us) we would’ve came up with a better name but alas kids are stupid at least we were

just mix ginger ale and sherbet and let it melt a bit any flavor works but limes what we used

homemade frosties

blend half chocolate milk and half regular with a scoop of sweetened condensed milk add a scoop of kool whip blend again and freeze for 2-3 hours of til half frozen!

it’s occurred to me you may have wanted you may have wanted something other than desserts 

homemade ravioli is so much better than store bought and honestly really easy to make (i have a pasta machine but you can make them without!)

first mix together 2/3 a cup of flour and an egg with olive oil into it forms a ball then lightly knead in the bowl a couple times. wrap up and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes

filling:

1/4 ish cup of ricotta cheese 

an amount of finely chopped garlic (measure with your heart)

1/4 ish cup of mozzarella (i usually use fresh but the shredded kind works too) 

an egg yolk

salt, pepper and italian seasoning 

if using a pasta machine use the smallest setting if doing it by hand until you can see daylight through the dough (and consult google) 

rub the egg white around the filling before folding dough over its self and pressing edges together

freeze on a baking sheet before bagging it!

my favorite sauce to eat with them!

brown a tbsp of butter with a halved clove of garlic, add heavy whipping cream, salt and pepper!

SOO julia armfield first of all she wrote our wives under the sea (woman goes on deep sea exploration and comes back wrong and her wife has to tackle this new version of the woman she once knew), salt slow (short stories!! they’re all so so good) and private rites (currently reading this one and it’s about a flooded and drowned world and three estranged sisters navigating their famous fathers death). literally her prose is some of the best ever it’s just. casually horrifying is the best way i can put it. it’s so beautifully done and she tackles these topics so well. also. she really likes water. she’s literally my favorite author ever i aspire to write like her. i was in the book store the day private rites came out and i got the single copy the store had and nearly fell to my knees once i managed to find it after like thirty minutes of frantic searching

some books we’ve got This Is How You Lose the Time War (RAGHH it’s a novella short and sweet it is lyrical and brutal and soft and it reads like a poem it’s about two rival agents who write letters to each other and it’s gay. so. one of my favorite reads ever i’ve read it like three times plus already), I Who Have Never Known Men (translated text also short but the writing still holds super well and it’s so fascinating it’s like kind of dystopian kind of post apocalyptic just look this one up idk how to pitch it) Piranesi (so so so so good go into this blind i’m begging you)

okay and then we have rf kuang. her writing is also fantastic. she’s written babel (MY FAVORITE BOOK magical historical realism speculative fiction, language a criticism on imperialism dark academia this book has it all), yellowface, and the poppy war trilogy (which i haven’t read yet but im getting too soon and have heard EXCELLENT things about and im very excited to have my heart torn out and stomped on repeatedly) and she’s got a new book coming out later this year called katabasis about two grad students going to the underworld and i am VERY excited about that one

and yeah :) i like reading i have quite a long tbr. once i finish private rites im starting chain gang all stars and then probably inferno after that followed by the poppy war

and it’s just. not even fucking true. she was absolutely Not a cleric before the nautiloid, and she definitely didn’t worship talos. he just happened to fit the description

i like to think talos sees her going through this process and just decides to feed into her delusions and grant her cleric powers because he thinks it’s funny

Macaque failed in his task and the Lady is displeased. The thrall who calls himself a mayor requests his head, but his Lady thinks the shadow may still be of use. Still, he deserves a punishment, no? The Mayor asks to destroy something slightly smaller than a head, but no less amusing to ruin.

Perhaps it is the six eared warriors eyes that ruin his performance, the mayor says, afterall, losing an eye can quite affect one’s vision. He never did heal completely from that fight with his old love, did he?

The lady agrees. Why would a warrior named for his hearing need his sight anyways?

Go, she says, do as you wish. The mayor is eager to comply.

He rushes forward, claws of bone and ice ripping from his knuckles with a violent crack and the wet sound of flesh. He smiles.

Macaque does not struggle, chained and bruised and bloodied, has no leeway in his binds. He cannot struggle, and even if he could move he does not know if he would. His every muscle aches and his bones are weak and he is so, so tired. He cannot hope to count the wounds.

The claws rake across his eye and he screams. That is all he can do as blood runs warm and sticky down his face and fire rushes through his veins. He knows nothing but pain and it only gets worse.

The mayor removes his claws and considers taking the eye with them, but decides he likes the look of the bleeding wound too much to ruin it. It is beautiful.

Macaque feels his shadows, roused from their frozen terror at his pain, swarm his mind. They drag him down to rest and he does not fight it.
